Twilight serves one purpose. The movie gives teenage girls something to squeal about. The film is nothing more than a teenage romance novel. Unfortunate that Kristen Stewart is a part of this mockery of vampires. Ms. Stewart actually has talent and it is so wasted in this pat...( read more)hetic movie.

the author of "the monster show" extrapolates the adolescent thanatophile has something to do with the rapturous physical changes during the puberty, such as menstruations, apple's apple and the growth of body hair . .. etc. those symptoms drive the teenagers into an awkward stat...( read more)e of misfits for the adulthood they ain't quite ready for. thus they tend to sympathize with gothic figures like dracula, frankenstein and woolfman...etc.

so what's that to do with "twilight"? basically, therotically speaking, the mystique of vampire love has two enthralling points for teens: the essential heterogeneity and everlasting attribute of ideal love. vampires live forever and they never age, besides they're exotic enough for fancy (just like those bizarre romanticization of eurasian romances in those corny hollywood pieces. opposite attraction is what sucks people in). the earliest vampire novel is camilla, a semi-lesbian vampire liaisons ripe for straight male's clandestine voyeurism of feminine autoeroticism. now the time differs, women begin to have their sexual predations like taking the active stance to objectify man, even for teeny chics as the blonde robert pattingson is the homme fatale in twilight, and kristen stewart is the gruff sap who wishes to be preyed.

the author of "the monster show" analyzes that the enigma of vampire is due to people's curious fright for virgina vendetta since vampire uses teeth to gratify his lust thru lethal bites as the mouth substitutes the downward orifice to perform. (see the point? huh?)...and "twilight" is about a boy vampire who refuses to consummate with his lover, totally against the epicurean routine of vampirism. abstinence is the theme for the story as the boy explains the tribe's stoic vow to merely feast upon animals just like humans who only eat vegetables, so they're healthy and moral but they're never quite completely satisfied. it's like a slap right to anne rice's hedonistic "interview with vampire" since the naughty lestat sneers at louise's guilty insistence on animal blood, and twilight is like the disneyland of vampirism by announcing "it's possible for vampires to be gentle and kind and they won't bite...DADDY"..two simple words: VEGGIE VAMPIRISM.

now back to virgina vendetta, so twilight is the boy's expression of love by refusing to fulfill his desire with his mortal lover while the girl is desperate for his kiss of death so she could be with him forever..okay, so what does it stand for? as i mentioned, time changes, women're more and more aggressive...to de-mystify twilight in an ordinary light, it would be the girl wishes her beau to deflower her and she's craving for the bloodshedding loss of her virginity. (and the more he resists her, the more she wants him to deflower her.) but the boy's hesitantly paralyzed by the possible sight of bleeding orifice and he cannot cope with the fact he's the embodiment of virgina vendetta. so he feasts upon animal blood as if he's still humans who cosume the poultry, and that gives him illusionary solace of normalcy as the last defense of his manhood.(or boyhood??) it may sound like a bunch of gibberish pretending to be clever, but don't you find it make senses just a little bit??? huh? LOL.

What else woudl I want to see LOL

A little disappointed but SPOIKER if you didn't hear already. Rob Pattison's song he wrote sounds pretty nice.
However parts comeoff stale & there's some things that just don't seem right to me from the movie. Not sure if the acting was all ...( read more)that great either.

I watched Twilight for the sole reason of knowing what the hell I was talking about whenever I shit on it and if there's a running theme of motif in Twilight, it is shit. Admittedly, for a movie that looks like it had $20 over the budget of a made-for-TV movie this didn't look th...( read more)at bad and despite the crappy contacts and me running the risk of sounding like a skeevy old bastard, Kristen Stewart was kind of cute despite the fact that she acts exclusively by biting her bottom lip. But Robert Pattinson and every syllable of constipatedly-delivered dialogue that came out his mouth was goddamned painful. The story itself wasn't as bad as I was expecting but once they got that baseball game going I... was.... in.... hell. I WAS IN HELL!!! I couldn't even appreciate Twilight in a bad dinner theater way. And everything that happened after the first half hour was completely abysmal. I know that teenagers aren't the most logical creatures on the face of the planet, but really!?!? And the worst part of the whole experience (aside from not watching this movie with the promised reward of getting laid) isn't really the awful, awful experience of watching Twilight itself, but the very real and distinct possibility that I'll watch New Moon when it comes out on cable. Seriously, in making that statement I feel like I was slipped roofies by a gay dude who proceeded to use me as his personal finger puppet and despite this grotesque violation I'd just been subjected to, I just told him he could call me. I know that 35 year-old men aren't the most logical creatures on the face of the planet, but really !?!?

I waited until it reached TV, but I had to see movie that so many people were talking about. Eh, its just a love story between a young girl and a good looking vampire. I prefer True Blood for my vampire stories. Still it did have a plot, so it gets some marks.

I just saw it for the first time (I know, ridiculous) and I loved it! The story is very interesting, the acting is really good - especially when Bella almost dies.
I really have to mention the special effects as well, they did a good job!
I didn't read the book(s) but I'm sure I will in the future!
Edward has something dark about him, that's what is making him so sexy :)
I love the open end, can't wait to see the next movie!
    Definitely a recommend!

I've read some of your coments and yes, SM created her own kind of 'vampires' (I agree with the coment below me), and it's good to create your own things. But I find these to be a little stupid, sorry I prefer the old-fashioned vampires, those who get in ashes when the sun shows up and don't sparkle. I mean LOVED the sparkling part, I had a really good laugh when he sparkled. "This is the skin of a murderer!" I laughed till the next scene.
For those who say 'This is the best mvoie I've ever seen' watch more movies, you'll see there are GREAT art pieces out there and Twilight is NOT a piece of art. Sorry.

Hate this movie. Hate it with a passion. I hated the first few seconds of it, and I can't stand the actors they picked. I don't mind Jasper...but everyone else doesn't work.
All their movie posters have these "I'm so sexy...watch this stupid movie." expressions on them.
This is the last movie I would recommend to anyone. I wouldn't even recommend it to my worst enemy.
Go ahead and give me crap for this comment, it's not gonna change my opinion.

I read the book saw the movie and frankly dude it sucked so not worth obsessing over at all! This is just a movie made to get people not to appriciate the an acual vampire movie like Interveiw with the Vampire or Lost Boys. Sorry to dissapoint when when you have a sparkly guy he's gay! Vampires are supposed to spontaniously burst into flames not sparkle! Yeah, I'm a twilight hater......deal with it!

it was a really good movie, altough it didn't quite follow the book, there were some aspects that should have been explained in the movie and weren't.
But still i loved it and im looking forward to the next one ^^
